We purchase the trees when they are either 1 year old (called plugs) or 2-3 years old.

We use a tiller mounted behind a large tractor to prepare the ground before we plant the trees. Once tilled we make holes in the ground with a hand manufactured tool.

Each tree is hand placed in the hole, packed, watered and fertilized.

Once the trees are 2-4 years old they are ready to be transplanted. If the tree is going into a single spot between larger trees we break the ground open with a planting bar. If several trees are going into a complete row then we till and dig individual holes evenly spaced along the row.
